Our Proud Tradition
Since its beginning in 1961, our practice has served the women of Elkhart and surrounding area with pride and excellence. With our first office located on Hudson Street, Hudson OB/GYN Associates was founded by Edward Mininger, M.D., Herbert Cormican, M.D., Virgil Graber, M.D. and Ramona Middleton, M.D.
Over the years, the practice continued to grow and expanded to serve a large patient base. In August 1994, we relocated to our current location on West Lexington, and as a result of the move, changed the name to River Oaks OB/GYN Associates.
Today, River Oaks OB/GYN provides a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic medical care for women - at every stage of life.
Our Priority is You!
The first priority at River Oaks OB/GYN is to provide high-quality, responsive and convenient medical care to all of our patients. We have two office locations, both designed to accommodate our patients comfortably, with minimal waiting time. Our obstetric patients are seen at our Women's Center facility which is connected to Elkhart General Hospital while our Lexington Avenue office is dedicated to gynecologic visits (annual exams and non obstetrical problems). In addition, River Oaks OB/GYN is committed to providing a smoke-free environment for patients and staff. Smoking is not allowed inside the office.
We do recognize that your time is valuable, and make every effort to keep on time with our appointment schedule. However, due to the demands of emergencies, deliveries and telephone calls, we occasionally run behind. If you are concerned about your wait time, you may call our office before your appointment to ask if your doctor is on schedule.
One of the River Oaks OB/GYN physicians is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. If you have an emergency situation that arises during the day, remember that River Oaks OB/GYN is just a phone call away. You can discuss your condition with one of our staff nurses. She will take down all pertinent information, and consult with your physician or one of the other physicians - if your physician is not available. The nurse will call you back with a recommendation from the physician regarding your situation, or to schedule an appointment for an office visit.
When you call after hours, the answering service will take your information and have the on-duty physician return the call as soon as possible. If your condition requires a different specialist for evaluation and treatment, you may be referred to another physician or to the Emergency Room.
