Abnormal Pap Smears

Pap Smears or Papanicolou tests are used for screening patients for cervical cancer.   The physicians at River Oaks OB/GYN Associates, P.C. are especially trained in the evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears.   Each of them are certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and three are members of The American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.   They can offer their patients colposcopy for evaluating abnormal pap smears, and cryotherapy (freezing therapy), LEEP (electrosurgical therapy) and laser therapy when treatment is needed.
