Some Gynecologic Cancers

The prevention and early detection of gynecologic malignancies are very important concerns for River Oaks physicians and our patients.   Cancers of the breast, ovary, colon and uterus tend to run in some families and as a group are common cancers.

With proper gynecologic care and testing, many of these cancers can be prevented or picked up at a very early, curable stage.   Up-to-date advice on current cancer screening recommendations is a very important part of the service that we offer to our patients, usually at the time of wellness visits.

When a malignancy is confirmed through testing, we collaborate with local oncology specialists to provide the high level of expertise, knowledge and experience that cancer patients requre.
